I have a BSc Social Work degree and have been employed through social services in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales for the last 4 years. I have lengthy experience working with children and families particularly around domestic violence and child protection. I also have experience working with children and adults with learning and physical disabilities. In the UK it is unfortunate that the social work role has become on where you do not get to work as directly as you would like with children. While I am in Australia I plan to seek alternative experiences and develop my skills further in social care and social work, particularly working with families and children more directly. During my studies I worked as a playscheme worker with children with learning and physical disabilities in a special needs school. I worked with a teenage girl for 1 year who had severe learning difficulties and cerebral palsy. I also volunteered in a centre for adults with learning disabilities which supported them to socialise in the community. I am a cheerful person with a positive attitude. I have a strong work ethic and am always willing to go the ‘extra mile’ to do a task well. I take great pride in my work and give my all in every situation in all aspects of my life. Throughout my employment, education and life experiences, I have developed a range of skills, which I am confident that I could transfer to any field of work. I have excellent communication, time-management and organisational skills. I have a good sense of self-awareness and I am self-motivated and reliable. I have experience of working well on my own initiative or as part of a team. I am also flexible and open to new challenges and experiences. I am a family orientated person, in particular I have lots of young children in my family who I regularly spend time with. I have a younger brother who is 7 who I look after on weekends where we often go out for activities and where I am responsible for his care. I have recently moved from the UK where I firstly went back packing in Thailand and Cambodia, before applying for my 1 year working holiday visa and arriving in Melbourne, Australia on 19th December 2017. I have not initially travelled to Australia to work in the social services sector; however I would like to work towards a social services role, particularly if I was to apply for a second year visa. I am open to any employment, new challenges and experiences. I have a UK drivers licence and am awaiting my international police checks to be received.

I have a BA in child development 0-18 years and have been working with children for over six years. In the UK I was relief staff member at a private nursery (1-5 years). During my time at the nursey I worked with each age group setting, organising and introducing new activates to help children with their conative, behavioural, social and emotional development. Other duties I performed included: Maintaining toys and play equipment; finding ways to stimulate children; helping to feed, wash and clean the youngsters; following and implementing daily routines; liaising with parents; opening and closing the nursery rooms and helping to settle in new children. In addition, I volunteered at a special educational nursery. My role within the nursey was focused on including children in sensory play, whilst working on their individual educational plans and supporting play with music, art and dance therapy. Other childcare experience I have includes working as a one on one support worker with a teenager with ADHD and autism in the UK and as an Au pair for two different families in Australia. I am a hardworking, honest and ethical person. I pride myself on my organisation and can be relied up-on to complete tasks. I have great patience with children and remain calm under pressure. I am very passionate about caring for others and have a strong focus on developing sustainable, warm, trusting relationships with children and other team members. Child safety and wellbeing is always at the front of my mind and I make sure to always adapt my working style so that the children feel comfortable and safe in their environment. I have current CRB police check from the UK, safeguarding and Makaton level 1 foundation courses completed. I am flexible regarding working hours. Attached please find my resume. • Dannii A - 29 year old Female   Last logged on 03-Jan-2018
My name is Dannii, I have returned to Melbourne to live after travelling India. I have previously spent two and a half years in Melbourne nannying which I loved. I am originally from Wellington, New Zealand. I am looking for a new professional challenge to extend my knowledge and experience within childcare and I am excited to be applying for this position with your family! A little about my experience, I have predominately worked in the childcare sector since finishing high school in 2005. My experience includes teaching at early learning centres, private nannying, and experience providing an in-home childcare service in Wellington before moving to Melbourne where I worked nannying again. I have also completed some study in childhood education. I have 10 years of professional experience working with families and children of all ages, from birth to ten years. I love working with children and their families as the rewards are immense. I have provided exceptional care, love and learning experiences to the children in my care over the years and have a vast understanding of the qualities and values a nanny should provide. Always having a high level of communication with the families I have worked with has given me extensive knowledge of what is important to a family when finding childcare to benefit both the family and the children. Having worked as a nanny and met with many families, I have a good understanding of the type and style of nanny suited to different family dynamics. I have a lot of experience communicating with parents so that I can understand and support the lessons, routines and ideals that are important to them as a family, which I support on a daily basis. I have always provided a safe and caring environment where children feel comfortable and confident to explore and expand their interests. I am confident with both young babies and older children and I appreciate every stage of childhood as each one gives so many precious moments. Having worked as teacher in an early childhood centre I love to help and encourage the children in whatever area or subject may take their fascination, providing resources and experiences for suitable learning experiences. Some of the activities I provide are arts and crafts, messy and water play, music with instruments, singing and dancing, imaginary play, story time, baking, construction, science experiments, gardening and exploring nature. It is very important to me that I am an asset to those I am working with, and always go the extra mile to make sure things run both smoothly and enjoyably. I am confident and experienced when it comes to running the home alongside caring for the children. I find satisfaction in providing a happy organised home for parents to come home to along with healthy delicious meals and happy children. It is lovely to know that families can enjoy the time they spend together in the evenings without having to worry about the evening rush! I enjoy being kept on my toes, as well as stopping to enjoy those extra special moments with the children so I can share them with you. For under 5’s, I like to keep a learning journal, in which I record activities, meals and the special moments each day for you to enjoy. Please contact me if you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, experienced and highly recommended nanny.

Hi, I arrived in Melbourne for 2 weeks with my Working-Holidays visa. Im stay in Melbourne for 11 months.. My job is baby-sitter. Since my 14 years I did babysitting every week in my city, in FRANCE. I spend a lot of time with children. I became au pair of the French-Lebanese family in New York for a period of 3 months (December 2015 to March 2016). I had to take care of 3 children (2 twins of 4 years old and 1 girl of 6 years old) 5 days a week, I took care of them from waking up at 6:30 am until bedtime at 9pm. And my second time in aupair for another monoparental family in Miami for 3 months (MARCH 2016 to JUNE 2016), 1 young girl aged 11 years I had to go to school and take care of her and his homeworks. I also taught him French and she taught me English! It was a great experience. I am available every day, don't hesitate to contact me by sms or by mail for more information about me. I can also send you my resume by email. Thanks.

Dear parents, I am studying Linguistics in Melbourne for a year. I am looking for a full time (five days a week) nanny job until my semester starts in February. I am available to start anytime. I am also open to part time and babysitting jobs. In France, I am studying to become a primary school teacher. I love children. That is why I have taken every opportunity so far to work with them. I was an English teacher in a Parisian middle school last year with 10 years old children. I have got the French diploma (BAFA) to be able to take care of children. It allowed me to be a summer camp leader during holidays with kids from 6 to 14 years old. I also have been babysitting since I was 14. All these experiences made my a very responsible person. I am organised, patient, caring and love playing and teaching new things to children. I could also teach your children French if you wish so. I am confident taking care of disabled children. I took part of an association helping autistic children to be able to go to school. During a year, I took care of a 5 years old little girl once a week. Our method was to make them play and interact with us to open them to the world. It was an amazing experience teaching me patience, self-control and how to understand disabilities better. I do not have a big experience with babies but I would love to learn if you show me the first days. I learn very easily. I am a good cook and love when the house is clean. I am open to help you with the housework. I am looking forward to meeting you and your children.

  • Brenda M - 24 year old Female   Last logged on 17-Nov-2017
Hi! I'm currently living/working and studying in Melbourne. I would love to have the opportunity to take care of your kids. When I was an Au Pair in US, I took care of a boy and a girl who was 05 and 10 years old, so I have experience with the little ones. I definitely could help you out in anything you might need and would be very happy to have the chance to meet your family. For me, kids are the most precious things in our life - they are our future, so that's the reason why we should give all the love and education to them. As you can see in my resume, before I was an Au Pair for a year in New York, I used to do some volunteer work at the church with homeless kids in Brazil - every Sunday we used to play some ball games and sometimes read some books. I also used to help with the kitchen, preparing healthy meals for them and some cleaning as well. I have bachelor in Management with International Trade in Brazil, and while I was studying in the university, I used to take care of my neighbours. This experience was amazing, once I had the chance to teach them a lot of things. I used to cook lunch for them and afterwards we did some homework - sometimes they were really tired of the school so I let them play with puzzles or drawing and then we used to do the homework - afterwards we were going to the park, playing outside activities. I used to watch them 03 times a week and sometimes sleep with them during the weekends. It was a little girl of 04 years old and a boy with 10. And my experience in US was the best, once I lived with 02 adorable kids of 05 and 10 years old. I used to make their breakfast and then drive them to school. After that, I did some cleaning work at the house, also as washing their clothes and the sheets. In the afternoon, when they were back home we used to do some homework and play afterwards. They had some extra activities some days so I used to drive them around. The little boy, Bobby had autism so I used to go sometimes with him to his therapy. I could learn a lot how to deal with autistic kids and I'm really happy that I could help them for a year. Besides this activities, we used to go to parks, beaches, sometimes just chilling watching a movie. The parents really trusted on me and we had a great relationship. If you have any doubt or question please let me know. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your family!

I'm looking for a new job that will be both satisfying and enjoyable. I love working with and meeting new people. Most recently, I spent a year and a half living and working in China: I was an English teacher, teaching children aged anything between 2 years old to 18 years old. It was such a great experience and it confirmed in my head that I would like to work with children for the rest of my life. Eventually, I would like to be a primary school teacher but firstly, I would like to explore the world and learn as much as I can from others. In Scotland, I was a support worker for people with mental health issues. I worked with a charity organisation for over two years and it taught me so much: I learned how to deal with difficult situations in a calm and collected manner, how to listen to the needs of others and act in a compassionate and professional way. At the moment, I'm looking for a role that will allow me to continue working with families. I hope to earn enough to fund my travels and also for my future education when I eventually return to Glasgow to do a postgraduate course in primary school teaching. Overall, I am a friendly, versatile and hardworking young woman with a full drivers license and previous experience in working with children.

I have years of experience within the Chilcare and education industry, having worked closely with children from the ages of 4 months to 5 years old. I am dual nationality both British and New Zealand therefore have no restrictions on any visas to work. My passion truly is working with children. I also understand that trust is extremely important between both parties. I have an outgoing, determined but very caring personality and extremely hardworking and any opportunity to not only work with children but enhance my skill set and work experience is invaluable to me.

Hello, I did one year of primary school teaching when I first left school, but did decide to mix it up. I’ve been working full time but recently left and I now study nutrition online. As I study online I have full availability! I come from a big loving family of 5 kids and have been babysitting since I was 13. I have looked after many different age groups of children - so feel extremely comfortable with any age. I simply adore kids and love hearing all the hilarious things they say or do. I am a very energetic, positive, patient, loving and understanding person. I am always happy to help out with anything such as: - Cooking / preparing meals of parents choice (or getting creative) - Cleaning - Washing / ironing - Helping out with homework - Shopping for food - Driving kids Anything to help you out and of course when it comes to the kids: - Providing a safe and nurturing environment - Being creative and having fun - Playing outdoors/being active - Being a carer yet friend for you child I respect that every family is different and I am confident to adapt to your environment! I had the amazing pleasure of caring for a beautiful family of 3 children for 2 years (who I absolutely adore), but unfortunately had to come to an end due to University starting. I worked at a school holiday program for kids with disabilities a couple of years ago, which I absolutely loved. After that experience I have felt a even more confident with children then I ever have before! Hopefully I am able to help you out, would love to hear from you! Thank you!

I'm a teacher. I have been teaching English since I left the University. I used to work with students of different ages, but I have got plenty experience working with small kids since 2013 (Pre – Kinder and Kindergarten). Besides teaching, I used to work as a babysitter after work and during school holidays. In addition, I have also given dance lessons at different schools (afterschool activities). Therefore, I do love and enjoy spending time and taking care of children.
