  • Amie A - 37 year old Female   Last logged on 23-Feb-2017

Hi, my name is Amie. I am a recent Fine Arts graduate form the University of Melbourne. Whilst studying the last 6 years I did various nannying/cleaning jobs, the main family I worked for, for the last 6 years. It was great to look after the two boys in this family and see them grow up from little boys to teenagers. I would love to continue this work, especially now my hours are more flexible. I am free days or nights for permanent or casual shifts and am happy to do the odd bit of cleaning and cooking also. References are available.

  • Jade P - 29 year old Female   Last logged on 23-Feb-2017

My name is Jade and I have a wealth of experience working with children including nannying and teaching. I'm a reliable, organised person with a friendly disposition. I'm a patient, understanding, kind soul, who has a passion for working with children. I love being able to inspire and enthuse young minds through creative play, extra curricular activities and hands on learning experiences. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, painting, reading, singing and all things creative. I am a qualified primary school teacher with 3 years teaching experience in an outstanding federation of schools within London. Alongside my full time teaching job I also taught at a Saturday school run by a charity for disadvantaged, impoverished children at risk. Prior to this I was a nanny for 3 years and had sole charge of 3 children ages 4-10. This role included light housekeeping tasks, school pick up and drop offs, arranging play dates and creating extra curricular activities at home e.g. baking, art, crafts and sports. Before arriving in London I had numerous roles working with children: camp counsellor at Camp America, taught English to 3-6 year old children in China, volunteered in an orphanage in the Philippines, ran out reach play work programs and taught trampolining to children 5-16. I hold a first aid certificate, a UK police check and have applied for WWCC. I'm a qualified primary teacher and hold NVQ 3 in play work.

I am Carlijn ( you can pronounce it as Caroline) from Holland. I am a caring person who is good in creating environments to educate children and to facilitate their learning process. I have more than 6 years of experience in nourishing and developing children of ages 0 – 13 years old. I started at the age of 12 years old to take care of the 4 children of my cousin, every school holiday, and after that, I began to work with two different families to take care of their toddlers. I have also experience in recreation, working together with my dad, who was the Director of a primary school, to coordinate sports events, excursions and musical activities for the children. I can speak English, Dutch, German, Spanish and French and I am learning Portuguese because of my Brazilian boyfriend. I am a creative and energetic person with a positive and warm attitude. I am responsible and I love to work with children and find it fascinating to see them developing and grow in life.

  • Sian M - 26 year old Female   Last logged on 20-Feb-2017

Hi, I'm Sian, I currently work part/full time with children and am looking to pick up some more nannying and/or babysitting hours - regular or casual. I have 8+ years of experience (the last six years I've been working either part time or full time) and I've completed my Cert III in Childcare (including First Aid), WWCC and am a registered carer. I have my full drivers licence, a car and a forward-facing child seat with a 5-point harness. I consider nannying/childcare my career and full-time job. I've cared for children from 6 wks old, and love working with children of all ages. In a few words I'd describe myself as easy-going, mindful, fun, social and responsible. I've done a lot of varied work involving drop-offs, pick-ups, driving children, attending activities, hosting parties, caring for children when they are sick or injured, assisting with toileting and toilet training, developmental delays and challenges, overnight stays, errands, homework, craft, cooking and organising and participating in outings. I charge $25/hr during the day for 1 child, plus $5/child, and $25 flat rate from 7pm. I work part-time nannying/babysitting hours at the moment (up to 25/30hrs per week) and am generally quite flexible with times and dates. I'm prepared to do child-related household tasks (i.e. clearing meals, packing up toys, cooking/preparing meals, shopping) and very low-key housework if time permits. I love stories, games, singing (although I'm lacking in talent!), activities based around and aimed at certain areas of development and observing children develop and grow and change! I have experience with feeding, changing, toileting, settling, bathing and actively guiding behaviour. Regards, Sian

  • Tanzy V - 19 year old Female   Last logged on 17-Feb-2017

I am originally from Geelong but recently moved to Melbourne. I'm a bright and bubbly person with a lot of energy and good sense of humor. I have a big interest in foods and animals, and eventually would like to open my own cafe/eatery. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my 5 cats, experimenting with food and playing guitar. I have two younger siblings, both 10 years old. I've been looking after them since they were toddlers. I also babysit my past employers two children who are 7 and 9. Looking after children feels natural to me because I've grown up surrounded by so many and I would always help with looking after them. I feel I always tend to get along with children well and click with them so quickly because I'm still young at heart and can have a lot of fun.

  • Alana S - 34 year old Female   Last logged on 16-Feb-2017

Hi! My name is Alana and I have been working full time as a nanny for the past 11years. It began as a travel job and I loved it so much I'm still doing it, and still love it! My current position is coming to an end as the youngest is off to school in February, therefor I am looking for full time hours with another welcoming family. I've had experience with all ages and believe I'm easy-going, responsible and very loving and patient. And FUN! I'm very flexible and willing to make life as easy as possible for future employers. Kind Regards, Alana

I have a warm friendly outgoing personality and love working with children. I have a lot of experience working with children from casual babysitting jobs to nannying. Recently I lived with a family for 12 months and assisted them in all areas of childcare (bathing, meal preparation, nappy changing, light housework and craft activities; including singing, dancing and art). I have a degree in psychology and a diploma in dance from Lewisham college London. I have recently completed 2 years of studies in music. I am currently working part-time at a cafe in Brunswick as well working on a casual basis as a children's entertainer, engaging children through story-telling, music and dance. References can be supplied.

  • Gabrielle M - 24 year old Female   Last logged on 07-Feb-2017

Hi there, My name is Gabby and I'm a part time student situated in Brunswick looking for ongoing part time nannying work. I have a natural love for children, and have pursued nannying as a part time role for the last 5 years. I have experience working for a variety of different families, and as a carer for children ranging from 5 months to 12 years. I am also confident in providing care for multiple children. I hold a current first aid certificate and working with children check. My last employment was caring for two young girls aged 18 months and 3 and a half years, which sadly ended last month due to the family moving out of area. I had been their nanny for over a year, and provided daily activities both indoor and out, educational and creative. I also provided basic cooking and cleaning. I take pride in the bonds I develop with children in my care, and hope to be a consistent and valuable addition to your family. Feel free to contact me with any inquiries, a full resume and recent references are available upon request. Gabby

  • Jana S - 27 year old Female   Last logged on 05-Feb-2017

Hello my name is Jana and I'm a traveller from overseas but it's already my 4th time in beautiful Australia!!! I first came here in 2009 working as an au pair/nanny for a year. I worked for a wonderful and loving family with 5 kids (age 2, 4 and 6) with the youngest being triplets. The time I spent with the family was one of the happiest times in my life. And because I fell in love with them, I came back every 2 years to visit and help out. After I left Australia the first time returning to Germany, I started studying. At the end of 2016 I finished my studies and can call myself now a high school teacher for latin and maths. Right after I finished, I flew to New Zealand and travelled for 2 months. After that I came back to Australia to spend Christmas with my Australian family. Early January I moved to Melbourne to work part-time at the Cirque du Soleil as an Usher. Because I only work 10-14 hours there, I am looking for another job. And because I love kids so much, I thought being a nanny again was great fun. I'm 100% reliable, honest, always on time, open, talkative and just a happy person. I worked as a nanny since I was in year 7 and worked as a private tutor after uni to earn money for rent and food. I'm looking forward to meeting you and enjoying the time with your kids. If you need any reference, my Australian family will be happy to have a chat :) Because I get my shifts weekly, I don't know more that approx a week ahead when I have to work. I'm always free on Mondays and from Tuesday to Friday from morning till early evening. Depending on the days I work, I'm also available whenever I'm not working, so 4 days a week.

  • Alessandra V - 29 year old Female   Last logged on 02-Feb-2017

Last year, after obtaining my Master degree in Building Engineering and Architecture in Italy, I have decided to come to Australia to improve my English and find out more about Australian culture. In the past 7 months I have been an Au Pair for a lovely family in Torquay, taking care of their 2 years old little girl. I am recently moved to Melbourne because in a couple of months I will start a Diploma in the city and I will have to be there a couple of days at week. I'm the eldest of 5 daughters and since I was little I used to take care of all of them when our parents were at work. I loved to cook for them and spend time together. When I was 18 years old I spent a summer working as an Au Pair for 3 kids (aged 3 and 2 years old and 6 months), then I worked as a Nanny in different families with kids aged between 6 months and 12 years old. I love travelling and exploring new places, as well as spending my free time in open spaces. I'm a funny and responsible person, with an open mind and a lot of energy.

  • Mascha K - 21 year old Female   Last logged on 01-Feb-2017

Since my mother runs a day care centre and she took me there a few times when I was younger, I realized that I like being around, playing and caring for children. I had so much fun that I started to babysit a three year old boy called Luc. I saw him grow up and become an independent 8 year old boy. I then babysitted his younger brother Matteo who is 4 years old. Working with children isn't always all sunshine, but of course you know that. ;) There were a few situations where babysitting became quite stressful. For example when Matteo would wake up at night, cry and wouldn't want to go to sleep again. It once took me almost two hours to calm him down and manage to have him sleep again. But this, of course, is part of the job and the positive experiences more than make up for it. Working with children and their affection can really make one forget a bad day. There were days when Matteo and I just stood on a sidewalk (on the way to the playground) and he couldn't stop watching the different colors and shapes of cars going by. Or situations where we danced through the apartment, me singing and him laughing at the top of his lungs. Moments and memories like these are really what drives me to work with children. There was an internship I did that doesn´t have anything to do with children but was a wonderful experience nevertheless. I'll never forget about it and it may even changed me a bit as a person. I worked and lived in a home for mentally and physically challenged people for three weeks. While the first days where rough, as soon as I adjusted myself to the situation and people, everything was great. Similar to children the residents were very accepting and lovely. I really miss them and appreciate the time I had there and the work I was able to do with them. After I finished my A-Levels in 2015 I went to Auckland, New Zealand and worked there as an au-pair for a year. I was looking after two amazing and intelligent girls from the age of 4-5 and 6-7 I was really lucky with my hostfamily and am still in contact with them as they became a huge part of my life. Parts of my job there, were preparing lunch and afternoon tea, picking up occasionally from school and kindy, walking with my kids to after school activities as well as doing dishes, cleaning and the laundry. As I spend years working with kids and a whole year taking responsibility on a daily basis for two girls in the age of 4 and 6 (5 and 7 at the end) plus managing to do the household at the same time I would consider myself as really experienced in the profession of childcare. I enjoy to take responsibility for people around me, I'm a decent person and have a calm temper. One of my best friends once called me her ›bastion of calmness‹ and I really like that idea. I have a habit of writing to-do lists, so a pocketbook is always nearby. I like to draw and sketch, for relaxation I like reading books, doing sports or singing. I took singing lessons for basically my whole life up until around four years ago and I dance ballet for two years until about three years ago. I really enjoy having alone time sometimes where I just go for a walk and contemplate for a bit. Nature is a big inspiration for me, even though (or maybe because) I always lived in big citys. You can really count on me as I am a reliable person with a lot of experience. I want to become an english or art teacher after my year in Australia. In Germany we don´t have child care certificates as you do so I never got one. Also I did quite a few first aid courses. Best regards, Mascha

  • Calissa A - 24 year old Female   Last logged on 19-Jan-2017

At the age of ten I was learning how to change diapers, I was organizing my mother’s file cabinet, and helping my father in the garden, not to mention I was bouncing between sports practice, play-dates and art classes. You could say I was a bit of a “go-getter” and this hasn’t left me! I still maintain this same ambition, determination, organization, and energy but now have extensive education and professional experience (not to mention an additional fourteen years of life experience). I currently lead hiking and cycling tours throughout Italy and England however, seeing as Melbourne has always been a city I have wanted to explore I purchased a work/holiday visa and decided to take a short break from life on the road to settle down here. I have been a nanny for many years working with many different families and a variety of ages, from newborns (changing diapers, bottle feeding, bathing, etc.) all the way to pre-teens. I am a strong believer of getting children outdoors and being active so I often take kids to parks, museums and community events, as well as play sports and garden and anything to release that energy! I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Communications and Media Studies and have extensive research and personal assistant experience. I have always developed a close and “sisterly” relationship with the families I work for and I hope to do the same with you and your family. I am incredibly flexible and reliable and I can easily work around your schedule depending on your needs. I have always been an open and honest communicator and you can be assured that I would easily integrate into your family.
